Ryan Keon was born and raised in Ottawa and has deep roots in the area as well as in the Ottawa Valley. He attended and graduated from St Pius High School in 1988. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991 from Trinity College at the University of Toronto, Ryan went on to rank fifth in his 1995 graduating class at Howard University of Law, an institution with one of the strongest social justice traditions in the world. Ryan received a Masters of Laws degree (LL.M.) from the Faculty of Law at McGill University in 2002. Ryan is a member in good standing of the bar of the state of New York, and the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario).

In 1996, Ryan joined the law offices of Gowling Strathy Henderson, LLP, working there first as an articling student and then as an associate in the business law and real estate practice group until May 2000. Ryan then joined the law firm of LaBarge Weinstein LLP, one of the most dynamic firms serving Ottawa’s high tech business community. Ryan began his own practice in 2004 under the firm/patnership name Wilson Keon LLP. In 2007 Ryan continued his practice under the firm name Keon Law Professional Corporation.

In Sept 2009, Ryan Keon was nominated as the federal Liberal candidate for Nepean-Carleton for the May 2, 2011 federal election.

From the fall of 2011 until the fall of 2012, Ryan practiced law in the Ottawa business law group of Norton Rose.

From the fall of 2012 until the spring of 2013, Ryan worked with Marc Garneau's federal Liberal leadership campaign.

Ryan currently works at the Tomlinson offices along with his wife Cindy, brother in law, Ron and his father in law William Tomlinson

Ryan and his wife Cindy have been married since 1999 and are the proud parents of two children, their genius son William and daughter Emily.
