Russ McLean is a voice artist from Blackburn in the North West of the UK. He provides voices for Commercial Radio and Television, cinema, information lines, corporate and promotional film and video, web pages and audiobooks.

Russ McLean currently lives Blackburn but spent his formative years in Clitheroe, Lancashire. Since leaving school he has enjoyed a varied an interesting career – which has always involved him working with people – from all walks of life.

His first ever job was as a Waiter and since that time he has been a trainee train driver – a successful Club & Mobile DJ and worked in Local Government. He has worked in TV as a Presenter/Director/Producer, Presenting and Producing over 1000 hours of LIVE programming and thousands of hours of recorded material.

Russ was a College Lecturer (media) and has provided Voice Recordings to Commercial Radio Stations, The Cinema, Corporate and informational DVDs, Web-sites and Information Lines since 1990. Now semi-retired through ill health Russ likes to keep busy when he can. He is a regular contributor to Local Radio and news media.

He has done much for the Voluntary sector and is currently Chair of the East Lancashire Patient Voice Group. His Television programmes have raised thousands of pounds for local charities, for quiet rooms and an MRI Scanner at his local hospital. He continues to be very vocal in his quest to educate those who provide HealthCare locally and to champion the views of Patients www.elpvg.info
