'redconfetti' is Jason Miller, a web application developer and music hobbyist residing in Erwin, Tennessee. Born on January 26, 1982 in Orlando, Florida. Left Florida in late December of 2008 for a short stay with his mother in Erwin, TN. Moved to Berkeley, CA in March of 2009. Moved to Denver, Colorado in August 2020, and then returned to Erwin, Tennessee in February 2022.
Jason has been employed with the University of California Berkeley since October 2013. He likes hiking and producing music, dabbling in genres such as Alternative Rock, Progressive rock, Trance, and Chill-out / Downtempo.
The internet moniker and stage name used by Jason since 1996. After tearing up up a list of possible band names he had brainstormed, he decided to the use the word confetti in a name, due to its lack of use, and arbitrary nature. Pairing this with Jason's favorite color (red), "Red Confetti" was created. Amall amateur garage band was formed in 1996 which consisted of Steven Giere (bass), Nick Benedetto (drums), and himself (guitar,vocals).
Used since 1998 as a username online, The space in the name was removed when it became necessary to use the title as a username on various website memberships and the domain name redconfetti.com registered August 6, 2000.
