Wikipedia has the potential to be a prestigious and important tool for research. It also has the potential to be several hundred thousand pages of graffiti.

Right now it's too much of the latter and not enough of the former.

The potential is still there. But until Wikipedia moves closer to achieving it, I can't see spending any more of my time on it.

Addendum: In the past 18 months, Wikipedia has actually moved farther away from being a useful tool for research. I may have been wrong when I said it had potential.
