The Learning English Video Project is a free distribution 7-part film series that documents English-language learning and teaching styles around the world. The series is made by independent UK filmmaker Daniel Emmerson and the first film (Stories from Morocco) was released on 21 April 2009.

The series of 7 free videos is designed to:

  • provide an objective window onto today's world of English learning and teaching globally
  • motivate and encourage English learners of all ages and backgrounds
  • offer listening comprehension opportunities and exercises, complete with classroom and self-study materials

The project covers the following countries:

  • Morocco
  • Romania
  • USA
  • Spain
  • China
  • Brazil
  • UK

Each film averages 15 minutes in length and comes with and without English-language subtitles. Free transcripts, useful vocabulary and a range of learning and teaching tools are also available for the series. Viewing can be either online or offline (after downloading to a computer).
