I obtained a doctorate in geology specializing in in metamorphic and structural geology of an area of Proterozoic rocks in central Australia. This was last millennium. Since 2002 taken an interest in the botany of the Mount Lofty Ranges with a particular interest in orchids. I have worked in weed control for conservation and have taken a developed skills in plant identification of both native and introduced species. I am interested in relating the evolution of plants with the geological history. I am a keen user of iNaturalist for recording all forms of life.
