About me

I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. My interests include: obstacle/mud courses, running, board games, and science fiction.

I believe firmly in open and free education and knowledge and aim to actively contribute to the creation and sharing of open and accessible knowledge. This is why I am joining the global community of Wikipedia editors.

Profession

I work in the area of open education. This means that I provide education and training around understanding copyright and licences with a focus on open licences that allow the free sharing and re-use of copyright protected works. I also specialise in playful engagement, playful learning, and serious games.

Wikipedia Activity

I'm still learning my way around editing and contributing to Wikipedia and the sister projects. I've dabbled in proofreading on WikiSource, and have recently been enjoying the WikiData game as a way of learning and contributing.

Training

I participate in running and assisting Wikipedia Training sessions as part of learning more about and contributing to Wikipedia. Occasionally this means I'll have fun and fantastical notes, images, and reference citations on this page as I demonstrate and participate in those training sessions.
