Statement
You know what I really hate about Wikipedia?
The complexity of the add-ons, projects, bots, administration, and everything thing else that is not the actual content. Trying to navigate the system to get an answer to just about anything ABOUT Wikipedia is a huge pain. And you are invariably redirected to some list of mysterious acronyms developed by some cabal of high-intensity users the only explanations for which refer you to some damn project masterminded by similar poindexters. God help anyone who wants to weigh in on proposed changes about "gadgets" and "bots." Holy Hell! It is as dense as any confused pile of nonsense that I've ever encountered.
And why do I care?
Because it is EXTREMELY alienating to anyone who might want to get involved. And because it is needless. Simplicity in organization and language should be the #1 guiding principle.
You know what else really bothers me about Wikipedia? It's the insane pedantry of quasi-informed bureaucratic people who seem to miss the entire fucking point. If you see a problem, you know what the first thing you do is? It isn't engage in some mind-numbing jumble of jargon laden mumbo jumbo specialty page discussions. It's posting something on the TALK page and consider fixing the God damn issue yourself! What the hell is so hard about that?
