I retired on April 2, 2016. From April 10, 2016 to September 29, 2017, I traveled around the country in a small trailer visiting 45 states in the process. You can see my photos and videos at:

From March 25, 2013 through April 1, 2016, I worked for Total Traffic. My job was as their helicopter reporter doing breaking news & traffic. My reports were heard on KFMB. My video could have been seen on almost all TV stations in San Diego.

I worked at KGTV (Ch.10) from June 7, 2010 to January 31, 2013. My job at KGTV was as their helicopter reporter doing breaking news & traffic. I posted the photos I took from the helicopter here at: http://americanindian.net/oversandiego/index.html .

I also worked at KUSI-TV in San Diego (May 2005 to May 2010). As a part of my job, I met many people listed in Wikipedia. I almost always took photos of these people and added them to Wikipedia (if a more appropriate photo was not already in use). I posted all of these photos on my KUSI website at:

I am an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation. I have authored, or co-authored, several books on American Indian history and law, including:
This Day In North American Indian History - 2002;
Native American Indian History For Dummies - 2008; and
The Wacky World Of Laws - 2009


My career has included:
California Highway Patrol officer - 1985-2005
TV & Radio reporter - (my first regular job in broadcasting was in 1973). Full-time: 2005-2016. I retired in 2016.
Author - wrote or contributed to five books. Wrote approx. 100 newspaper and/or magazine articles.
Computer Operator (At NASA's Mission Control during the last two Apollo missions and the Skylab missions.) -
