Mr. Beach has been a pioneer in the field of Advanced Distributive Learning and technical education/training system design since 1996. Identifying human learning tenancies and creating usable, non intrusive, connections between learner and the learning technologies has been the goal of his work.
Mr. Beach profession development has spanned the gamut from early web publishing and multimedia training development to Advanced Distributive Learning System design and development. His experience includes the design and development of early Learning Management Systems and prototype Collaborative Design Environments, as well as architecture of full duplex virtual classroom systems.
He served as Systems Architect and Program Manager for the design and development of several Advanced Distributive Learning systems (ADL). He lead the design and development of comprehensive distance and distributive learning systems in support of multiple environments including military medical health care training systems, secure command and control systems, and commercial training systems.
The ADL systems that Mr. Beach designed included web based collaborative design and storyboard systems (CDE), Content Management Systems (CMS), Learning Management System (LMS), training portal systems, student support systems and help desks, virtual classrooms and mobile electronic classrooms. Systems designed by Mr. Beach have been deployed to 200 sites world wide and support 45,000 current users.
Mr. Beach managed the design and development of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston (SPAWAR) ADL system (SIPRNet and NIPRNet). He also managed the development of the NAVAIR anti submarine warfare community classified courseware delivery system (CCODES).
