[1]Our Alumnae Site THE FRIENDLIEST SCHOOL IN TOWN!Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School Brooklyn N.Y.1956-1999 On September 10,1956, the doors of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Commercial High School opened to 144 freshman students who would become the Class of 1960, O.L.'s first graduates.

The warm and loving spirit of Sister Stanislaus-coupled with a faculty of Sisters of St.Joseph, lay women and men-attracted students to O.L.P.H. Over the years the fame of the school grew, becoming in 1962 Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School.

Academic courses were added, which increased the need for even more teachers;these teachers began the tradition of O.L. faculties comprised of loving, caring, uniquely talented people, who left their mark on every girl who came through the doors of 59th Street, making O.L. truly "the friendliest school in town" We are saddened that fate has decreed that those welcoming doors of O.L.P.H. High School will not open again. This website, however, pays tribute to all those faculty members who have ever taught at the school, united in their love for every girl, who ever wore the O.L.colors.To them go our thanks for a job well done, and a promise that they and our high school will live on forever,in the hearts of the girls, who walked the halls of our school. We the alumnae,of our school, are our school,we still have the school spirit, and together with our beloved teachers, will keep our school alive for infamy....through our school spirit..
