My name is James, and I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am a 31 year old computer professional.
Bio
I enjoy reading, music, travel, hiking, and talking about hiking. I hike because I am primarily a tourist, secondarily because it keeps me healthy. I enjoy sharing stories about my hikes: both mishaps and triumphs, and I believe that discovering hiking has changed my life.
I have been absent from Wikipedia for some time now due to other commitments, but will come in from time to time.
Mission
Presently, I am working to provide content for articles on hiking trails that I am familiar with, through research (web, book, periodical) that I do anyway in preparation for hiking them.
In particular, I would like an article I've created (or contributed to heavily) to achieve Featured Article status. At the moment, the article I'm primping and preening to accomplish this is Bright Angel Trail. However, this article may have limited enough appeal to keep it out of FA running, so I suppose I can hope for Good Article status.
I also spend time hunting vandals in the recent changes page, as well reverting vandalism on the pages in my watchlist. I urge any editors to join in to help clean up vandalism.
I am looking for other Wikipedians to help with these articles (see WikiProject Hiking Trails). At present, articles about Grand Canton trails are my main focus. Please let me know on my talk page if you are interested in collaberating on these articles, especially in remote areas of the canyon (a little above my physical fitness level as of 2006!)
