The Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities is located in the Vaughn Home at Vanderbilt University. It fosters interdisciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences with graduate and faculty research fellowships, seminars, reading groups, conferences, workshops, and special events. It was founded in 1988 with funding from a National Endowment for the Humanities Challenge Grant. It is named after Robert Penn Warren, a poet, novelist, and alumnus of Vanderbilt University.
The current executive director is Mona Frederick.
The Robert Penn Warren Center for the Humanities is a member of the Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes (CHCI).
