Emma Thompson, a midcourter with both Australian and New Zealand citizenship, has a netball history that includes playing in both countries. She spent all of her junior netball playing in Australia coming through the state pathways, then moved to New Zealand in 2020. Her stint with the Northern Marvels NNL team was cut short due to COVID-19 and she returned to Australia. She developed and built her skills playing for the Giants Academy and competing in the 2022 Australian Netball Championships. She also represented the Panthers Netball in the NSW Premier League team[1]. Following her campaign in NSW, she returned to New Zealand, playing for the Mainland Tactix as an Apprentice player and then eventually earning her contract with the Northern Stars in the ANZ Championships.
