Milan Hudnik is a Slovenian cellist, professor and chamber musician. As a soloist he performed with leading Slovenian orchestras conducted by Anton Nanut, Uroš Lajovic, Loris Voltolini, Lior Shambadal, Alpaslan Ertüngealp and others. At recitals with pianist Hermina Hudnik, they premiere performed many composition of Slovenian composers and recorded them for Radio Slovenia. He often plays music for solo cello. In 2018 he released a CD with Kodaly Solo sonata and Duo with violinist Žiga Brank. He recorded works by Avsec,  Brahms, Glavina, Haydn, Hindemith, Hoffman, Kos, Martinu and Vasks.

Hudnik studied under Ciril Škerjanec and Mario Brunello and at masterclasses with Igor Gavriš, Eleonora Schoenfeld and Onczaj Csaba. He is the winner of several prizes at national competitions for cello and chamber music. At the "Antonio Janigro" international competition in Zagreb in 1997 he received the special award of the Romano Romanini Foundation in the highest category. During his studies he participated in the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra.

He regularly plays for the Society of Slovenian Composers and performs at the festivals of contemporary music Slowind, Predihano and MusicX in Cincinnati. He is a founding member of the Chamber Orchestra of the Society of Slovenian Composers and a member of the Neofonia ensemble. He gives masterclasses for cello and chamber music. Hudnik is a principal assistant cellist in the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and a cello professor at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana.
