CARL HENRY III

Carl Henry III was born in Jamaica and immigrated to Canada as young man. Where he attended school in and along with his good friend and band member Danny Turco started entertaining audiences in Toronto in the 1970’s and has been wowing audience since then with his Lovers Rock Reggae Gendre and has played a significant part and been instrumental in the promotion on Reggae Music in Toronto as well as around the world.

Through out Carl Henry III’s career of 40+ plus years in Canada, he has performed Reggae Music at the Cadillac Lounge numerous times, the El Mocombo, Four Season Hotel, The Congress Centre, Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto Art Gallery, Eagle Nest Golf Club, Liberty Grand, the King Edward Hotel, the Doctors House, (Klienberg Ont) Peppercorn and Habour Front, just name a few. In 2008 he sang at the Tribute to the Life, Music, and Legacy of his idol the late great Dennis Brown "Crown Prince of Reggae" and A Celebration of DB's 50th Birthday.

In north America, he has represented Canada and accompanied the Bee Gees, Freddy Jackson, Steel Pulse, Jimmy Cliff, and Sting. He opened for comedian Don Rickles, and Joan Rivers, performed Casinos and has also appeared on Canadian television –“Telelatino” an Italian station and “JBC TV” -a Jamaican television station and has also performed on a show that was done for CBC which is often replayed because of popular viewer requests.

Carl also received a Canadian Juno Award nomination in 2010 for his Reggae Album “American Dream” and was in the midst of Canadian artists like Michel Blube, Drake, Billy Talent and Justin Bieber just to name a few. He performed with Liberty Silver and Otis Gayle in 1985 on the Reggae Recording of the Year Juno Award winning song “Heaven Must Have Sent You”.

Carl has performed at many benefit performances for such causes as the “Cancer Society”, “Black Heritage Week”, and showed his support by sing for Toronto’s current “Mayor John Tory’s” campaign with Liberty Silver and for the former “Mayor Rob Ford”. Most recently he leant his voice and support to “The Hamilton Togetherness Movement” and will be doing the same for the 2nd year at the 2nd Annual Golf & Dinner Show “Autism Sings” to be held at Copper Creek Golf Club on Friday, August 21/2015 with Jo Jo Bentry.

Carl Henry III has represented Canada again, along with many International Reggae acts on stage and the list reads like who's who, in the entertainment industry in Jamaica with top acts such as the late and great Dennis Brown, Be Res Hammond, Papa San, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Bennie man, Richie Stevens, Mickie Spice, Benjie Myers, Freddy MC Gregor, and opened for the great Billy Paul, that sang the classic song called Me and Mrs Jones, the Delfonic, and the illustrious Chi lites, at the Toronto international Centre. His tour of Europe took him to Munich, Milan and Switzerland, his outstanding performance at the world famous Nectar in Munich has rewarded him with many offers to return. His brilliant and outstanding performances have taken him to places such as Nashville, Tennessee and Atlanta Georgia where he performed to packed venues and was also a featured artist at the Mayors and Governors Convention in the United States

In Jamaica Carl has performed at reputable venues such as Sandals Resorts, Beaches, Breezes, Grand Lido, Beach Combers, Boat Bar and Half Moon, with his cover and original Reggae songs and has kept his audience and fans wanting more. He has recorded with well know producers such as Micheal Walden (that produced Aretha Franklin and late Whitney Huston), the pioneer of them all the late Sir Cox -of Studio One, and of course the infamous Bob Marley and with his producer Mauricio Rossetti-(mosaic entertainment) was able to record two of his favourite songs.You Are The One and Comeprima in Italian, which has done fabulous in Europe.
