The Double award winning international artist Ms Desire made her inaugural mark on the soca industry in 2008 with her sweet groovy track "Control it" and her infectious power track "Move".
Born Louise Sterling-Jackman, Ms Desire started singing at the tender of seven and is no stranger to the stage. Attending the United Kingdom's most renowned Performing Arts' schools "NLPAC" and "Sylvia Young", Ms. Desire has some formal training and possesses the intangible tools of passion, creativity and innovation.
Desire started singing in her church choir, which gave her the fundamental skills she needed to catapult her career. Desire went onto develop and hone her skills in singing and dancing, performing all over the United Kingdom; including being one of the chosen few selected to perform in front of the Queen for her Golden Jubilee.
The Caribbean is like a home away from home to UK-born Ms.Desire, being born to a Barbadian mother and a Jamaican father. Spending most of her summer months yearly in the Caribbean, Ms.Desire soon discovered a love for soca. Soca runs through her veins. Putting her song writing and vocal skills to work, it wasn't long before the world started hearing her soca songs on the radio.
Ms Desire has shared the stage with the best of the best including Machel Montano, Alison Hinds, Destra Garcia and Edwin Yearwood. She has graced stages around the world from the Gem of the Caribbean; Barbados, to the United Kingdom to as far as Berlin and her consistently high quality records year after year confirms that she is committed to the art form and here to stay.
"Breaking Out", the debut album showcases Ms.Desire's biggest hits to date, produced by distinguished producers such as Peter Coppin, Anderson 'Blood' Armstrong and SocaChild 360.
Ms Desire already branded as the "Soca Songstress" has set her sights on "Breaking Out" taking the industry to another level.... "Why have the sky as the limit, when you could leave footprints on the moon?" Ms. Desire will leave soca music in the hearts of people world wide as she takes soca global.
