The tagname "MrMiami" originated in 1997 while living in Miami Lakes, Florida and when several friends assumed tagnames "MrLasVegas", "MrHawaii" and "MrDisney".

The tagname "MrMiami" originated in 1997 while living in Miami Lakes, Florida and when several friends assumed tagnames "MrLasVegas", "MrHawaii" and "MrDisney". Since that time numerous other people seemed to have jumped on the name. In 1997, I could not locate a single user of the tagname in my searches on the web. However, today there are scores of "MrMiami's" and innumerable variants. While I don't claim originality, I do claim the first to noticably use the tagname.

While no longer living in South Florida, the tagname is retained for posterity.
