Greetings from the UK!
My wife and I have just returned from a holiday staying at the Hotel Rodella in Selva di Val Gardena.
On Monday we thoroughly enjoyed the excellent Historical Village Tour of Ortisei, superbly and expertly led by the wonderful Vito.
Then on Tuesday we visited the Museum; what a little gem! We particularly enjoyed the interactive toy exhibition, learning so much more about what has helped make Val Gardena the place it is today. Our visit was enhanced by a chance meeting with Wolfgang Moroder who was with the Church organist discussing a film to be made about the Nativity created by his ancestor, Rudolph Moroder.
Wolfgang was very generous with his time telling us about the history of the Nativity work, bringing alive the story of the region and the Ladin people as well as telling us a little of his own story and time spent in England - in Ashby-de-la Zouch! Please pass on our thanks to him for his time and the additional perspective it gave to us.
Keep up the great work you are doing in the Museum and the community - it is so important in educating visitors to the area, and is much appreciated.
