I am (as of the last validating trip to a reflective surface) an individual by the name of David de Vries currently residing in a little place called London not England. As it currently stands I await the decisive hand of fate to deliver me into the years of post-secondary education, but am in constant doubt of the standards of evaluated worthiness I possess. I find myself in this very situation because of my perspectives on the processes of education at work in the area of my inhabitance. I feel that the pursuit of knowledge should not be controlled by outside interest and should not be inhibited according to the standards in which those that facilitate learning have set. It is also these perspectives that draw me towards unrealistic reading habits, constant reflection, and Wikipedia as well any other like-minded organizations. Otherwise I would classify myself as a fairly normal person as far as social habits, communication, and outwardness is concerned. It is essentially after viewing an entry in Wikipedia that was so horribly incorrect and misleading that I decided to give birth to an account.
The world is like a ride in and amusement park and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down and around and around and it has thrills and chills and it's very brightly colored and it's very loud. And it's fun- for awhile. Some people have been on the ride for a very long time, and they begin to question; is this real? Or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, and they say, 'Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because... this is just a ride.' And we kill those people. We are always going to kill those good guys that try to tell us these things, you ever notice that? Let the demons run amuck. It doesn't matter, it's just a ride and we can change it anytime we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job no savings and money, just a choice right now, between fear... and love. - Bill Hicks
