Hobbies
Mike loves [SCUBA] diving and has completed training and certification as a [PADI] Open Water Scuba Instructor, Dive Master, Wreck Diver, Nitrox Diver, Underwater Photographer, Underwater Naturalist and in the use of Underwater Diver Propulsion Vehicles.

Mike also enjoys playing characters in Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing [MMORPG] games such as Earth and Beyond, Star Wars Galaxies, and World of Warcraft. In WoW, Mike has played all nine of the available classes to at least level 40, and 6 of them to the highest level in the game, gearing them for most of their talent specs. Mike also enjoys character twinking in MMOs, a technique which deliberately stops leveling a character at a predetermined level ensuring the character has the best and most powerful weapons, armor, and enchants available for that level. The character is then used to dominate ones opponents in Battlegrounds, Arena's, Duels, and other Player vs. Player encounters. While Mike considers PvP a deeply rewarding diversion he enjoys most the leveling and gearing process, PvE instances and well-written questing.

Mike loves Films. Among his favorite subjects are superheroes, animals, or anything science fiction. Occasionally, Mike enjoys a good romantic drama or horror film, as long as it's thriller, alien, or mystery-based and not a pure demonic supernatural type. Mike does not enjoy pure violence hacker type films, or those steeped deeply in the supernatural. Any movie that spends 1 out of 1.5 hours slinging blood is just poor excuse for imagination. Mike particularly enjoys a good murder mystery, spy/political thriller, law drama or action hero type film, because these are pure entertainment. Particularly a story that revolves around solving the trail of a serial killer, or when an average ordinary person brings down an all-powerful villain using clever or cunning tactics and rarely strength. Mike believes well-made films should dedicate only a small amount of screen real estate and time to the gruesome part of story telling which is necessary to dull an audience's sympathies for the eventual fate the bad guy must endure. Mike's favorite TV shows include Burn Notice, House, The Soup, Dateline, and Avitar the Last Airbender. Mike is a closet fan of Spongebob Squarepants, the children's cartoon with jokes clearly written over a young childs head (for adults).
