If you see my name against edits of Wikipedia biographies, it may be because I have interviewed the person for profiles that I am commissioned to write for Ingenia[1], the quarterly magazine of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE). I am on the editorial board of the magazine.
Beyond that, money has rarely changed hands when I edit something. I have never been paid to edit anything on Wikipedia. But I do use information gathered in my freelance work to try to improve articles on Wikipedia.
