I'm an electrical engineer from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. My hobbies, other than aimlessly browsing Wikipedia when other sources of entertainment run out, revolve around behavioral economics and macroeconomics (i.e. economics and psychology). I read The Economist and Nature regularly.

I'm into many sports: volleyball, alpine skiing, various racket sports and white river kayaking.

I admire several persons of science:

  • Carl Friedrich Gauss, this guy invented just about everything!
  • Muhammad Yunus, for micro-credit.
  • Norman Borlaug, for saving millions of people with genetically modified wheat.
  • Daniel Sleator & Robert Trajan, for splay tree and link/cut trees.
  • Jimmy Wales & Larry Sanger, for perhaps the best idea of the 21st century.

Some quotes worth noting:
