'The Mickey Mouse Club is a long running American variety television show, produced by Walt Disney Productions and originally aired on ABC from 1955-1959. The show features a regular, but ever-changing cast of teenage and child performers.
The series was originally revived by Walt Disney Productions in 1977, but this only lasted for one season due to a lack of interest from major networks. It's second revival came in 1989 on The Disney Channel, which launched the careers of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez and Christina Aguilera. The show was officially cancelled in 1994, with Disney airing re-runs of the show until 1996.
In June 2010, The Disney Channel will once again attempt to re-create the magic when it debut's in it's new Friday night 05:30PM slot. It is believed it was also air in the UK, but this is yet to be confirmed.
