I am interested in the development and implementation of data-driven software. I mostly use Java programming language and Oracle database for developing desktop and web applications to aid in the the collection and management of nursing research data. I am also interested in computer programming tutoring and have helped numerous peers with course assignments. I've had some paid tutoring gigs as well.

I am a Bitcoin enthusiast. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency used as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system. I think it is a remarkable technology that everyone should know about.

I am an avid tent camper and road tripper. I have been to 40 U.S. states; my goal is all 50. I love the outdoors and traveling. I'd like to attend all U.S. National Parks by the time I die; I'm at 8 so far...quite a ways to go yet. My favorite activities are hiking, snowboarding, playing guitar, and riding bicycles. I also love reality television, documentaries of any kind, and reading memoirs. I plan to write my own memoir one day.

Ever since I bought a home in January 2009, I have been fascinated with interior/exterior design, home improvement, and DIY projects. I also love to go dumpster diving to find items to reclaim, recycle, and refurbish. My friends and I have garage sales to sell our goods and make a little extra cash.
