I am a Professor of Human-Computer Interaction and Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University. I do Cognitive Science and Learning Science research and focus particularly on how educational technology, like Cognitive Tutors, may improve learning and aid in collection of student learning data to enhance our understanding of how students learn.

I direct, with Professor Charles Perfetti, the Pittsburgh Science of Learning Center. Here's my web site.
