Jason Cherniak has been practicing law since 2006. He started Cherniak Law in Richmond Hill in 2008 and his clients include local land developers, community groups, business leaders and politicians because his focus is on achieving results.

Jason handles a multitude of business deals and court cases, and has been involved in all stages of the litigation process, including appeals. You can find more details by clicking on the relevant area of practice from the services page.

Jason has presented to various continuing legal education programs and been published in academic journals. He is also an articling principal for the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Jason earned his law degree at Dalhousie University. He also has an Honours Bachelor of Arts, with high distinction, from the University of Toronto. He attended Trinity College, where he majored in Ethics, Society and Law.

Jason is an active member of the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill, which promotes ethical business practices, community projects and international development. He is currently an Assistant District Governor responsible for four clubs in York Region and Simcoe County. Jason has been the chair of the Rotary TV Auction for three years now and, in that role, has raised over $130,000 for local charities and non-profits.

Jason sits on the Board of Directors for the Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce and Shadowpath Theatre Productions. He is also on the Governance and Nomination Committee for the Mackenzie Health Hospital Foundation and a member of the Trinity College (University of Toronto) Corporation.
