Greg Beaucage is a Professor of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Cincinnati.  He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society in the Division of Polymer Physics.  Beaucage is best known for development of the Unified Scattering Function used to describe scattering from hierarchical structures.  He has recently worked mainly in hierarchical models that couple dynamics, thermodynamics and structure for worm-like micelle systems funded by Procter & Gamble and in quantification of dispersion in nanocomposites funded by NSF, Bridgestone, and Sun Chemicals.  He has over 120 peer reviewed publications and an h-index of 35. In addition to his research program Beaucage has done technology-based service work in Africa funded by the US State Department including directing the NanoPower for Africaproject and more recently extensive interactions with universities in Ethiopia, Lesotho, and Tanzania.  He is visiting Wits as a Fulbright Global Scholar, which includes extended visits to Cape Town, NUL and Dire Dawa and Addis Ababa Ethiopia as well as the University of Sheffield, UK.
