Katrin Butt(* 1967 in Linz, Austria) Is an Austrian actress, author, singer, filmmaker and director. She graduated from the University of Art in Linz (Mag.art), studied piano at the Bruckner University and received acting training, e.g. at the Schubert Conservatory in Vienna (musical) Katrin Butt is a member of the Grazer Autoren und Autorinnen Versammlung.
Artfilmproductions
Butt has recorded numerous CDs (hip hop, chanson) and played concerts and jazz sessions with Joe Zawinul, Bill Ramsey, H.G.Gutternig from Russkaja, Dough Hammond and many others.
She won the Gertrud Fussenegger Literature Prize 2024, the PRIX Edith Piaf and received a working grant for literature from the government of Art Austria in 2024, as well as publishing texts in literary magazines (Litrobona, Syltse, #kundt and Kultur) and readings within the Gav,(Austrian Writers)
With her film company artfilmproductions she produced a number of short films which were shown at many international film festivals and won awards.
Katrin Butt also played roles in feature films and TV movies, e.g. in Happy with Lillian Klebow and Roland Düringer) and "auf der Walz" with Oliver Stokowsky and Inge Maux, directed by Sybille Tafel and in the Film „Trilogy“of the Oskar nominated Bruno Pischiutta.
