i'm emily, or jan Emeli if you're cool
i've had this account since i was a tween, but didn't get into wikipedia until a few fitful bursts of hyperfixation in 2025-26. what i'm saying is i'm basically a veteran
the interests which most inform my editing habits include languages, linguistics (in particular syntax, lexicology, and pragmatics), transfeminism, and transgender history. i also whittle, do fiber arts such as sewing and embroidery, and, once in a generation, when the stars align and the veil between worlds is at its thinnest, i have even been known to write.
i love the english lexicon an unhealthy amount and spend almost as much time on wiktionary as i do here. here's a small sample of my exhaustive favorite words list, in no particular order:
