After studying physics and economics I worked as consultant on IT projects. Admiring Einstein and living at the river Elbe in Hamburg Germany, I chose the username Elbstein.

John Decker was a talented artist in Hollywood. John Decker's father Graf Ernst-August von der Decken was the elder brother of my grandfather. Therefore this artist is my personal interest. The german family von der Decken did not know anything about John Decker. We only knew Graf Guido, Johns half brother from the second marriage of his father. I will try to give the correct information on Johns family background, which was described very short in the book of Jordan C. Stephen, "Bohemian Rogue: The Life of Hollywood Artist John Decker." (ISBN 0-8108-5159-8) Scarecrow Press, 2005 on page 8 to 9.
