Just to tell you, there is no need for userpage backups. If the page is deleted mistakenly, you can request it be undeleted. If your page is vandalized, simply revert to the version you want to have. You can using the manual method. Here are the steps:

• Go to the top of the page in question, click on the "history" or "page history" (in some skins) tab; then, click on the "time and date" of the earlier version, to which you wish to revert.
• When that page displays, you will see a phrase similar to: "This is an old revision of this page, as edited by ***.*.***.*** (Talk) at 15:47, January 24, 2009. It may differ significantly from the current revision."
• Verify that you have selected the correct "old revision" version and click on the "edit this page" tab, as you would normally do.
  • Important: in the case of vandalism, take the time to make sure that you are reverting to the last version without the vandalism; there may be multiple consecutive vandal edits or they may be interspersed between the constructive edits.
• Above the edit box, you will see a warning similar to: "You are editing an old revision of this page. If you save it, any changes made since then will be removed."
• Ignore this warning and save the page. Be sure to add the word "revert" or the abbreviation "rv" and a brief explanation for the revert to the "edit summary". It is possible to wikilink the usernames, associated with the versions that you are reverting from and to.
  • For example, when reverting vandalism by a user identified only by their IP address, an edit summary would be:
    
    rv edits by [[Special:Contributions/<IP address>|<IP address>]] to last version by [[User:Example|Example]]

To nominate articles to reach the "Good" status, you can nominate it at WP:Good article nominations. The A status can only be reached through consensus. For B, C, Start, and Stub, you can rate it yourself at the assessment division of a WikiProject. I just saw the userbox stating your age on your userpage. I would strongly recommend that you put such things minimally on your userpage. It could cause other Wikipedians to be biased against you; for example, some users will oppose an RfA just because they might think you are immature. You can either archive your talk page yourself (which gets tiring), or use a bot, MiszaBot III or ClueBot III. I personally use ClueBot III. Lupin's anti-vandal tool isn't nearly as good as Huggle. Twinkle is also great for recent changes patrol and tagging, but isn't as good as Huggle at vandalism reverting. Huggle is, however, a download .exe file, but you don't need to install it. -download | sign! 03:22, 26 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I would really recommend adding an informative edit summary on every single one of your edits. Not only does this look good on your edit record, it could prevent your edits from being seen as vandalism.
