DAVID ANGU

David Angu is a singer, guitarist, composer and producer based out of Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. He grew up in Aalo and he comes from the family of avid music listeners.

During his initial years of musicianship, he was heavily into classic rock artists like SkidRow, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, and the likes. These influences can be very strongly heard in his approach of singing and guitar playing.

After exploring classic and glam rock in his initial band “Soul of Phoenix”, he ventured into exploring the folk melodies of tribals in the band “David Angu & The Tribe”

This band focuses on folk songs of Tani Tribes from his home state, Arunachal Pradesh-North East India.

The idea behind the band is very well reflected in his first single released-Ho Delo.

This song calls out to everyone in Galo tribal catchphrase “Ho Delo”, to come together as a community and keep the culture of the forefathers alive.

David Angu & The Tribe gives you the perfect fusion of both Folk and classic/glam rock to soothe your ears with his high pitched voice and melodies of tribals from North East
