Hi there, I'm DamnItsHot*. I am a computer programmer (a devout nerd or geek, hacker back when those names held more of complementary or at least wizard like connotation). Started in 1972 while in High school (was also a freak aka hippie while being a friend and accepted by (mostly) all the other cliques (e.g., cowboys/goat ropers, socialites, heads, jocks, BQs, drama/theater types, shop/auto shop dudes, brainiacs and other smaller groups or loners. I basically crossed all the lines but was most identified or hung out with the Freaks, Socias and brains (which shocked everyone since I was in ICT where you take classes in the AM the bail for the rest of the day to go work as a draftsmen for the City Engineering dept.).

  • aka jOhn. DamnItsHot comes from me repeating the phrase "damn its hot" while on the third floor of my friend Mark's house in Londonderry, New Hampshire (purchased from Tom Scholz of Boston - with the original recording studio in the basement in it). It was a damn hot day in Boston, August high humidity, and no A/C up there. Then there are my programming an especially finding and eradicatcing bugs in other's code --DamnItsHot!

My father was a fighter pilot in the USAF and I was an air force brat. never stayed at one school for an entire 2 years in a row till Jr/Sr years - coming up on my 40th reunion this summer 2015. I was born in Roswell, New Mexico where my dad was stationed almost exactly 10 years after the big event.

Interests

Most new technology in all sorts of fields I find fascinating. Music - I have a broad interest based primarily on Rock and Roll (hard, metal, soft, punk, alternative, crossover, blues, progressive, folk...) and all genres of Blues, with Soul, Funk, Jazz, New Wave, R&B, Pop, Reggae, but includes Show Tunes, Musical and even includes Country Western and a dash of Opera. Playing my guitars for myself and learning new musical instruments(anything but brass or woodwind) when I find the time (which I have found much more difficult to do since my wife and I have a 16 yr. old daughter (Apr 2015). Photography both film/emulsion and digital - most especially Holography both real images and computer generated. Family and friends most of all.
