I'm a Plant Biology undergrad. My primary research interests lie in plant oilseed metabolism and plant taxonomy.
Though only an occasional editor right now, I anticipate my involvement with Wikipedia will only grow.
Currently, the organization and mission of Wikipedia's plant articles (and stubs) is unclear to me. My vision is for Wikipedia's species articles to constitute not a comprehensive database (impossible), but rather an informative first-source for someone who'd like additional information on a plant they found on a hike or in a garden, (keeping in mind that Wikipedia is not an identification guide). As I encounter interesting plants both in the real world and in literature, I'll try to add them to this encyclopedia.
