ET 704 Midterm Project
Student name: Yuqi Ye
I'm using my own laptop for this project.
What I have learned is:
- How to set up small office network.
Network devices; End devices; Connections; Configuration setup
- How to manage and monitor my small office network
We can use many command, or use simulation mode, etc.
- What are the functions of the most of the buttons and tabs at Packet Tracer.
For example, there are physical tab, config tab, GUI tab and attributes tab we will see when we click a device.
Information I found useful when using Packet Tracer:
- When we are sending PDU from one device to another, we can check the information of the OSI layers that work on that by clicking the PDU. - We can use both the ping command or the send PDU button to send packet from one device to another. - We can't set up the configuration in the config tab. We only can do that in the desktop tab. - We need to wait for a while for the connections to be set up.
