In the Army, I was an attack helicopter (Cobra) pilot in a cavalry (Dragoon) squadron. The attack helicopter referenced is the AH-1G HueyCobra and the cavalry squadron is the 7th Squadron (Air), 1st United States Cavalry, originally known as the United States Regiment of Dragoons.

Resigning my commission in the Army, I enlisted in the Marine Corps. Commissioned as an Officer of Marines upon graduation from Officer Candidates School, I then completed The Basic School, and subsequently earned designation as a Naval Aviator by graduating from U.S. Naval Aviation flight training.
