As you have probably observed from one of my boxes, I thoroughly enjoy music of many different genres. I have created a list of both Christian and secular artists that I would recommend for their excellent music. I have made a clear distinction between the two; those under the Christian category are completely safe, but those under the Secular label may have songs whose content could be considered unsuitable. I do not listen to secular or otherwise non-Christian rap. The reason for this is probably quite obvious: I don't feel like trashing my experience with music. There are many rappers out there who have no bounds on what they'll sing about. They will make references to sexual activity, curse extremely frequently and make songs containing inappropriate content. Some of their album covers have been shown to display demonic signs. Quite frankly, I do not want to even get myself involved into that mess. (I am aware that some of this occurs in regular rock as well, but it seems as though it is more of a problem in the rap genre.)
