Chris Ryan

Born, Christopher Ryan Pollard, October 25th, 1980 to Douglas and Dorian Pollard in Phoenix, Arizona. Lived in Los Angeles until the age of 11, moving back to Phoenix for his father's occupation as a construction worker. Chris excelled in his academics and also in athletics, in particular baseball, when a twist of fate brought him into the entertainment world. When Chris was 15 years old, he was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and went through a "dark period." He says, he had chronic anxiety attacks and looked for some outlet for his illness. He didn't find it until 2003 when he attended his first theater class at Scottsdale Community College, in Scottdale, Arizona. He had a newfound love for the arts. Chris had always been what friends called a "mimicker." Chris was always doing different accents and dialects and impersonations. He became more interested in the film aspect of the arts though. He dropped his theater class and started taking acting classes for film and in front of the camera. Currently he is working on two screenplays of his own and is planning to produce them as well. Three more will be on their way following suit. Chris's favorite actor is Leonardo Dicaprio. He says, he first had the notion that acting could be a possibility for him on a date with then girlfriend, when he went to see the film, "Titanic." He thought that the life of an actor looked so appealing and fun, but never thought in his wildest dreams it could come to pass.
