My standards for supporting a Request for adminship

My standards for supporting a Request for adminship

  1. Trustworthiness, demonstrated by commitment to Wikipedia: a reasonable mainspace edit count and time with project (perhaps 1000 edits and 3 months)
  2. Policy knowledge: edits that demonstrate a basic knowledge of policy; can be to mainspace, talk pages, or Wikipedia space
  3. Understanding of administrator duties and desire to be an administrator: good answer to question 1
  4. Edit summary use (a pet peeve, perhaps): >95% for major edits
  5. Civility and maturity: your actions will reflect on Wikipedia

I disagree that adminship is no big deal. Administrators are given special trust, and their say carries extra weight. An administrator should therefore be expected to represent the community well.
