Hi I'm Andyn, I first became a Wikipedia contributor in October 2005. I live in Sydney, Australia, and have previously lived in Brisbane and Melbourne, Australia. I have strong interest in, and have devoted many years to studying: Australian music, media and politics.

So far I have found it very frustrating that posts I have made on topics in my area of expertise have been deleted by people who live on the other side of the world with no knowledge whatsoever of the subject being posted.

One guy deleted a post because he thought it wasn't "notable becasue it only had 13 unquie google references". Great philosophy: One ignorant person thinks it's only got a small number of google reference so it's unimportant, and will never be allowed to change it's status.

One I reposted another guy deleted it becasue it wa s arepost of previous deleted material. Great philosphy: an article deleted by one other ignorant person means it wasn't true, and should never be posted again

It makes me seriously wonder how many hundreds or thousands of posts with valuable information and knowledge have been deleted by a few under-informed editors.

Wikipedia is a truly amazing concept and resource. I would hope wikipedia can work out a better deletion system to try to prevent some ignorant people denying the rest of people of the world access to information of interest and value.
