American Life is the first short movie directed by Michael Josh Stover. It is currently in the writing stages, with filming to begin in September. The movie is currently set for release in February 2008.
Described as a comedy/drama/musical/romance, the story covers several diffrent asspects. Including wars, religion, spirituality, God, politics, sex, rape, suicide, drugs, crimes, music & dancing, and several diffrent interludes.
The film is to be rated NC-17 due to some explicit footage. But, Stover may cut some down to get an R rating. The film is also to give many prayers/meditations from Kabbalah.
Stover has stated a Christmas horror film he is likely to direct and write this Christmas. "I do have a future plan for this December of making a Christmas horror film. I just love horror in a Christmas season, so I do plan on making one this year".
A couple weeks after this was stated by Michael Stover, he recently stated "I have really big plans for this Christmas horror film. The film is planned to revolve aroun a magician who's loved to kill". Although a source tells an online Myspace magazine "Virgin" that Stover is though debating on weather to make the Christmas horror film based on a magician killer or a simple Christmas horror movie stating "John Carpenter's Halloween in the Christmas time".
A sequel has been confirmed by Michael Stover. Although, it will not be no regular sequel, it will cover other aspects of the world including pollution, etc.. Michael Stover has said the official title is 'Letter To God: American Life II'..
