where does Abang Communty Located From

Abang is one of the nine communities within Kolnyang Payam which bordered Anyidi Payam from the North part. it population is approximately 5000 people and having a large area in the Payam which bordered Murle from the east and Aliap from the west of the Nile river. Adol as one of kolnyang ethnic communities have taken a part of Abang territory called Thempiny and Gak which are now a day’s their main location. the community of Abang have scatted to some communities of Bor due to conflict among the ethnic communities and Arab Pakuorier which make more than 2000 people become homeless in the village.

Bor, July 25, 2012 (Borglobe) – Polis Aides Humanitarian Organization/Action handed over the forty pedants to Abang Community members after they have cultivated it so that the community could begin to grow seeds and take control over the farm. Extension worker, Marial Ayuen said in the field that their mission is to bring up the local communities by giving them support so that they will be able to help each other in the next future. He said POH cultivated forty Pedants for the communities of Abang and Malual. “We have cultivated 40 pedants and next year if out project get funds then we will extend project to 50 pedants so that most of the community members who remained unserved will get their farms and I think we are giving the support to the local communities so that they will be able to help themselves in the next future,” Extension Worker Mariar Ayuen said. Ayuen said if there are communities who need help then we can help them because we need to bring up the local communities of Jonglei state. He said his duty in the farm is to train the community members of how to grow seeds. “My duties here are to train the farmers how to cultivate and how to grow the seed in row planting because row planting is the new method, sawing of the seeds is a former planting which does now not exist,” Mariar said. He said our help was a response to the proposal written to us by Abang community requested for the help from PAH to cultivate farm to the two communities of Abang and Malual who are residing in Malual-chaat.
