Hi all! I am Aafi, and my major focus is around global Muslim academia and scholarship. Over the time, I have contributed over 113 articles on English Wikipedia, with two good ones: Mahmud Hasan Deobandi and Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind. I have about 14 DYK credits and 15 ITN/RD credits, on this Wikipedia. I also edit as AafiOnMobile while I'm away from the system. Prior to having had myself renamed to Aafi, my account was at TheAafi, which is now a doppelgänger account. I work for DCW, a thematic affiliate of Wikimedia Foundation, and use my alternate account Aafi (DCW), to make edits on DCW's behalf. Now that you are around, do visit my guesthouse.
My work
I regularly keep an eye on my "watchlist" and revert any possible spam. I am a global-permissions VRT agent, and often patrol VRT Noticeboard for any possible help that I can offer. I am an administrator on Wikimedia Commons, Meta-Wiki and Urdu Wikipedia, and feel happy when asked for help. I am a translation administrator on Commons, Meta-Wiki, and Wikidata, and enjoy playing around with translation markup. On this Wikipedia, I have NPR, file-mover and page-mover rights, and contribute in these according to my own capacity. I can speak/read several languages: Arabic, English, Kashmiri, Hindi, Urdu. Although, I have not edited this encyclopedia ever for any sort of financial gains, I still have some conflict of interest.
