I am a researcher presently at Stockholm Environment Institute with a multidisciplinary environmental and natural resources background with specialties in coastal nutrient kinetics, agriculture nutrient dynamics, sustainable sanitation, hygiene and water resources management, food security, phosphorus resources limits, disaster risk reduction, limnology and aquatic toxicology.
My role in contributing to Wikipedia:
Between Aug 2020 and July 2024 I am working on a Wikipedia project based at Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) where I work as a senior researcher. The project focused on communicating 3 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals - 6, 13 and 14 to 2022 and just SDG 13 (climate action) to 2024. SEI is a not-for-profit government-licensed research and policy institute dealing with global environment and development issues. The project is funded by Formas which is a Swedish government research council for sustainable development. The project has a landing page and has the objective to improve and update Wikipedia articles relevant to these 3 SDGs. The methods used are evaluation of the quality of the articles and standard editing but also solicitation of input from published experts in order to update selected articles with the latest knowledge. In some cases networks and discussion groups are contacted in order to tap into expertise. There is no conflict of interest in the approaches taken.
