Can't the parameters of Template:Question be changed so that {{{1}}} is an alternative method to change the label of the text, rather than add new text? I want the template to be customizable in the way that Template: Comment is. I created the change in the sandbox.  Already done @CoronavirusPlagueDoctor:, that functionality already exists. To make it work in the way you describe, you need the label= parameter. Type {{Question|label=foo}} and what you will see is:
foo:
