I've been looking at a bunch of these types of exploration articles, which brought me here. And I have to say, some are clearly lists or timelines (ex. Asia, Space), some are clearly prose (ex. North America), while some are a mixed bag (ex. Australia, Africa, Central Asia). So, that makes it harder to try to break them up on the template according to what type of article they are. Instead, I changed the last group from "Timelines of exploration" to "Exploration by region" so that they could all be included. I propose to restructure the template by grouping exploration and explorers as the two main groups, and trying to get each article link into the correct group, depending on whether its title implies that the topic is primarily about the activity of exploration or the people who explore. Further subdivisions will depend on how each major group can be logically subdivided, and may change over time as more articles are added and different groupings may appear to make sense. If anyone has logical and constructive suggestions, please list them here.
