Usage

{{WikiProject Microsoft Windows}} adds articles to Category:WikiProject Microsoft Windows articles and Category:WikiProject Computing articles. Please place this template on the talk page of any article relating to encyclopedic coverage of the Microsoft Windows operating system and platform.

Assessment

a rating of the article's importance for coverage of Windows; see the Microsoft Windows assessment department for more details.

attention: "yes" if the article needs attention.

needs-infobox: "yes" if the article needs an infobox.

Multiple banners on one page

If a page has both {{WikiProject Microsoft Windows}} and another banner that also includes WikiProject Computing, the Computing importance assessments must match.

Here's an example:

If the Computing importance does not match, the talk page will be placed in more than one Computing quality or Computing importance category, which causes problems with tracking tools including the WP 1.0 bot.
