This template is used on approximately 10,000 pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them.

This is the WikiProject banner template used by WikiProject Elements to keep track of articles within its scope. All articles are categorised into Category:WikiProject Elements articles.

Basic usage

Place this on the talk page of relevant articles:

Full usage

It is usual to remove any unused parameters from the template call.

Parameters

importance – see #Importance assessment below.
category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

Notes and alerts

GA – set |GA=yes or any non-blank value other than "no", "n" or "0". The following message will be displayed: "This article has been listed as a good article under the good article criteria."

Task forces

isotopes – set |isotopes=yes if the article is supported by the Isotope Taskforce. This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:chemical element isotope articles by quality based on the |class= parameter in the banner shell.

Deprecated parameters

listas – this parameter should be used with the banner shell template, not on individual project banners. Please see Template:WikiProject banner shell for details.
class – this parameter should be used with the banner shell template, not on individual project banners. See WP:PIQA for more details.
