Template:ME-date inserts a date for an event in the fictional history of Middle-earth. These dates are formatted to follow the standards at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Middle-earth/Standards#Dates. Please see that page for information on when this template and other 'date links' should be used. In general, this template should be used only to clarify cases where a few dates in an article or section apply to a different 'age' than the rest. Thus, it should not appear at all in most Middle-earth articles and only once or twice in those articles where it is needed.
Usage
{{ME-date|<age>|<year>}} or {{ME-date|age=<age>|year=<year>}}
Parameters
Both parameters are optional. The |year= should be a numeric value and the |age= any of the following:
